Classic auction fans may remember the recent successful Brightwells Spring sale of the Jaguar Land Rover Collection of Affordable Classics, which saw Jaguar shed £121million worth of it’s classic car load.
Classic & Sports Car Show
Brightwells has just been confirmed as the official auction partner for The Classic & Sports Car Show in association with Flywheel, and will put more than 100 classic cars under the hammer at the prestigious wings and wheels event which takes place at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire on June 23 & 24.
Matthew Parkin, Head of Classic Cars for Brightwells, said:
“We are delighted to have been asked to hold an auction at the event. The exciting collaboration between The Classic & Sports Car Show and Flywheel Festival is sure to take the show to another level. Bicester Heritage is the perfect venue, with the ability to open its gates to thousands of enthusiasts, and we are thrilled to be offering the full auction experience to the visitors, buyers and sellers alike.”
Brightwells will hold the sale in Hangar 113 at the charismatic former World War II bomber station. A unique architectural survivor, Bicester Heritage is now a thriving hub of industry geared to support the classic motoring community, and is being carefully restored to beautifully preserve the historic buildings.
Alastair Clements, Classic & Sports Car magazine’s Editor in Chief, said:
“The brilliant Affordable Classics sale was just the latest in an impressive line of auctions that Brightwells has held at Bicester Heritage, and we’re confident that it is the ideal auction partner for The Show. Whether you’re looking to buy or simply to browse, it promises to be an excellent addition to the event for visitors – particularly those looking to take their first steps into classic ownership or to add to a burgeoning fleet.”
