Anna Lisa Collection Offered For Sale Includes Rare Alfa Giulia TZ

Anna Lisa Collection
33 cars will be offered from the Anna Lisa Collection

The mysterious Anna Lisa Collection is to be offered for sale in December 2021 and features some of the most beautiful Italian cars ever produced…

Hidden and dormant for over thirty years, the eclectic collection to be auctioned became the mission of Patrick and Anne-Lise Duvarry who dedicated their lives to this unique assemblage of post and pre-war Italian classics.

The diverse collection of 33 vehicles will be offered by the Parisian auction house, Aguttes on December 12, 2021, and includes an extremely rare 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Tubolare Zagato, Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Zagato, Alfa Romeo 3000 SZ with less than 3,000 km on the odometer, and Lancia Appia Zagato among others.

The Tubolare Zagato is, without doubt, one of the most desirable of all post-war Alfa Romeos and considered by many as the marque’s variant of Ferrari’s iconic GTO. Taking its name from a ‘Tubolare’ space frame chassis and stunning ‘Zagato’ coachwork, only 112 were ever built between 1963 – 1967, making them incredibly rare.

Competing at Le Mans, the Targa Florio, Nürburgring, and Tour de France Automobile against the likes of Ferrari 250 GTOs, Maserati Birdcages, and Shelby Cobras, the TZs achieved 1-2-3-4 in their class and were virtually indestructible as a rally car, winning the Alpine Rally outright in 1964.

1966 Alfa Romeo 2600 SZ

Introduced in 1961, the Alfa Romeo 2600 was an evolution of the 2000 version and was a top-of-the-range model available at the time in the Saloon, Sprint (coupe designed by Bertone), and Spider (Touring) versions.

It wasn’t long before coachwork magician, Zagato got to work on this new base and in November 1962 presented his vision of the Coupé 2600. This particular car is one of only 4 prototypes and eventually led to the 2600 Sprint Zagato (SZ) being available from 1965.

1990 Alfa Romeo 3000 SZ

The beefy Alfa Romeo SZ may have been dubbed ‘the monster’ but 30 years later the stylish Italian Zagato has become a desirable classic with prices rising year on year.

An avant-garde design with narrow, square triple headlights and distinctive wedge shape that resembled an Austin Princess on steroids, ultimately earned ES30 the nickname ‘Il Mostro’ or ‘the Monster’. This particular car is the 38th of only 1035 produced and has less than 3,400 km on its lazy speedometer.
