A recent Classic Car Auction sale witnessed yet another staggering purchase price (£46,200), when a low mileage 1983 Ford Escort RS1600i went under the CCA hammer June 2nd 2018.
Based on the XR3 with sporty panels added, and even fuel injected to stretch it’s legs slightly quicker, the Ford RS1600i was built to match Group A homologation criteria.
Finished in Diamond White, this particular example was blessed with less than 1 years mileage (8121) on it’s lazy speedometer, and accompanied by that all important extensive history file. Additionally the car has also been converted to a Turbo Technics model by the original supplying Ford Dealer all receipted.
