The David Coulthard Museum has – on display – the world’s most complete collection of race cars and memorabilia for any Formula 1 driver, past or present.
Originally started by David’s parents, Duncan and Joyce, who bought him his first go-kart for Christmas when he was 12 years old. This kart, together with examples of cars from all formulae which David has participated in, are on display. With all the trophies they achieved.
During David’s fourteen years in formula one, he won 13 Grand Prix, had 62 podium finishes, achieved 12 pole positions and 18 fastest laps.
Twynholm in Dumfries & Galloway is where David grew up and went to primary school. Being a proud Scot is obvious by the Saltire design on all of his race helmets which are also on display.
Now a television pundit, he is still to be seen – and heard – at all Formula 1 Grand Prix. He is still involved with Red Bull Racing and is an ambassador for Mercedes Benz and Wings for Life, the spinal injury charity.
