Former AC/DC singer Brian Johnson went on a ‘highway to hell’ recently following his escapades on a Silverstone race track over the weekend Saturday (July 29).
Johnson took the classic track “you shook me all night long” to it’s extreme, with now ‘sacked’ frontman giving the classic Austin A35 too much gas coming into a hairpin, then screaming ‘hells bells’ managed to escape with his pride intact.
The car was a little worse for wear following it’s full rotation, with Johnson given the thumbs up after a check up from medical staff on site.
Sacked Or Quit
Speculation surrounded the lucky singers exit from AC/DC, with Johnson saying his doctor told him “stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss”.
The car loving Geordie previously said it was cars and not music that was to blame for his hearing problems explaining to radio host Howard Stern in 2014:
“I didn’t get it from music. I got it from sitting in a race car too long without earplugs.
“I heard my eardrum burst, because I forgot to put my plugs in under my helmet. That’s how it happened. Music had nothing to do with it.”
