The exclusive ‘Passion of a Lifetime‘ event featuring a selection of classics from one of the world’s most revered private collections has been postponed till further notice due to COVID-19.

The prestige London sale was to be held at Somerset House in central London on 1 April 2020 by leading classic car auctioneers Gooding & Company and was set to include some of the most coveted and valuable examples of European sports and racing automobiles of the 20th century.
A statement released by the company said:
“Nothing is more important than protecting the health and well-being of Gooding & Company’s clients, staff, and families. During this time, Gooding & Company remains open for business and encourages clients to reach out to car specialists and Gooding staff as our team continues to advise on private sales and collection holdings, as well as prepare for our upcoming auctions.”
Renowned for their impressive styling and bold statements, the famous Italian marque has always produced everlasting classic examples, but the Bugatti trio of prewar masterpieces in this collection is sure to attract the most affluent of bidders.

The news follows other recent large event postponements including the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show and the Petersen Automotive Museum also saying the automotive museum would be closed due to the spread of COVID-19.
