Show Director Lee Masters is promising the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2019 will be even bigger and better as the event celebrates its 35th anniversary with a ‘super show’ planned by the organisers.
The UK’s largest indoor motor show will once again deliver an action packed three-day classic motoring ‘season finale’ held at Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 November 2019.
Following a ‘theme strategy’ vein which in 2018 embraced the integrity and passion servicemen and women, the 2019 team are working on a less intense theme in partnership with Winning Moves, owners of the Top Trumps brand, on a mission to bring the game to life.
Motoring enthusiasts of all generations will be able to interact and enjoy the game in a variety of creative ways as they explore the various displays.
As part of the show theme, the clubs and exhibitors will have the opportunity to create a ‘Top Trumps’ card to act as the vehicle’s info board displaying five key facts.
Andrew Evanson, Senior Operations Manager at Lancaster Insurance:
“2019 is a milestone year for both the show and Lancaster Insurance, so it’s fitting that the theme this year is extra special. Many enthusiasts will have fond memories of playing Top Trumps as a youngster, I know I certainly do, and we’re excited to help bring this to life for show attendees!”
Not only will this create the biggest pack of Top Trumps ever but will also give visitors a potential 15,000 motoring facts presented in a fun way so they can play as they enjoy their visit to the UK’s biggest indoor motoring event.
Over the years, Top Trumps has evolved from just being about cars. Packs now cover a whole range of topics including Harry Potter, aircraft and battleships, football heroes and even Marvel Superheroes.
For those who have forgotten how to play here is a quick recap: Each Top Trumps card contains a list of numerical data. The aim of the game is to compare these values to try to trump your opponent by having a higher number, so you win their card. The winner is the player with all the cards at the end.
Show Director Lee Masters:
“To get to the 35th anniversary is very special, especially with the show continuing to grow year after year, not just in size and audience but also in the standard of cars and displays.
“We want to celebrate this with a ‘super show’ that not only pushes that bar even higher but also says a massive thank you to all those classic motoring enthusiasts who have helped, and continue to make the show the extravaganza it is.
“So, how do you make the UK’s biggest and best motoring show even bigger and even better? Just you wait and see… Plans are afoot!”
