A limited edition Mini is set to treble its original value at a forthcoming auction Wednesday 6th March 2019.
The amazing Mini museum styled time capsule has covered a frugal ‘16‘ miles over its 30 year lifetime and originates from a private collection.
Purchased by brother and sister Gillian Tomlinson and Mick Evans from Wright’s Garage in Sleaford, Lincs 1989, the Limited Edition Mini 30 is expected to fetch around £18,000 at Brightwells Leominster Classic & Vintage Cars and Motorcycles Auction in March.
With a keen eye for a bargain, garage proprietor Mick (The Black Bull Garage, Sleaford), spotted the Austin nugget and swiftly added to his growing collection of classic cars, where it resided for the next 27 years.
The 16 miles recorded on the lazy speedometer are genuine and backed up by a local newspaper article in The Sleaford Citizen, which describes the story of car.
Highly desirable and dressed in Cherry Red, the Mini 30 was one of only 3,000 produced specifically for the car’s 30th anniversay.

Based on its sister, the 998cc Mini Mayfair, detailed improvements were given to the Mini 30 that included the usual chrome bumpers and grille, piped half-leather upholstery, Minilite-style alloy wheels, scattering of detailed anniversary logos and obligatory Phillips radio.
3 keepers later and F420 RFW could be a solid investment for any enthusiast or Mini collector. Pristine condition and offered with V5C, recent bill of sale, old style V5 and even has correspondence from the original keeper.
