Previously sold to Isabella Quarantotti, famed writer and playwright the amazing Italian stallion has undergone ground-up nut and bolt restoration, with final assembly performed by the highly regarded outfit, Steel Wings.
Eligible for the Mille Miglia Storica and other vintage events, it was the first of only 10 examples factory-equipped with triple Weber carburetors.
A no cost spared nut and bolt restoration process cost a staggering $350,000, and included the classic car being completely stripped and reassembled piece by piece before the interior was refinished to an exceptional level of detail by 13-time Pebble Beach award-winner Gary Maucher.

Following the highest restoration possible, the current owner made sure the mechanical condition mirrored its exemplary coachwork by the A6 to one of the top Maserati specialists in the world, Candini Classiche in Modena, for a complete overhaul of the engine, gearbox, clutch, differential, brakes, and suspension – for an additional cost of $85,000. During this restoration, the correct Maserati steel wheels were sourced and fitted.
Looking better than it did when leaving the factory, this 1949 Maserati A6 1500/3C emmbraces everything a classic should. An incredible example of such an exquisite car, that would look comfortable at any international concours d’elegance or classic car showcase.
