A new European specialist online auction platform for collectable cars has been launched today at Rétromobile 2019 in Paris.
Collecting Cars is a unique community based environment where like minded enthusiasts across Europe can buy, sell and explore the world of collectable cars.
Devoted to cars and automobilia, the inspirational concept is the brain child of dealer and collector Edward Lovett and is supported by a team of passionate professionals including automotive journalist, racing driver and television presenter Chris Harris.
Wealth Of Knowledge
Utilising a wealth of knowledge which embraces cars of all genres and eras, Collecting Cars will be ‘the‘ place to research and scrutinize a whole range of vehicles, from vintage icons through to modern day affordable classics.
“Grazing classifieds has been my passion for more than 20 years. I can’t wait to see the fascinating machinery that will appear on Collecting Cars.”
Specialist Online Auction Platform
Collecting Cars is the only specialist online auction platform of its kind to source consignments from across Europe and to market cars throughout the continent. The process of buying and selling cars will be backed by industry-leading identity verification and payment security, to ensure a safe and seamless experience.
Core to the ethos of Collecting Cars will be immersive, multi-platform storytelling that takes its audience behind the scenes with fascinating cars, personalities and master craftspeople. The authors and photographers that craft feature content for the site will also ensure that cars being auctioned are presented professionally and authoritatively.

Founder and Managing Director Edward Lovett said:
“Collecting Cars is powered by technology but we have assembled a team of people who are – first and foremost – dyed-in-the-wool car enthusiasts. We will deliver a safe, smart, and simple online auction experience where sellers can have confidence in the bidding and buyers can have confidence in the cars.
“We realise the value of every car, no matter how valuable it is – so we encourage anyone thinking about selling their car to contact us to discuss our offer.”
The first auctions on the Collecting Cars platform will take place in spring 2019. In the meantime, visitors can go to www.collectingcars.com to register their interest in consigning a car, or sign up to receive updates ahead of the full launch.
