The Newby Hall Historic Vehicle Rally is now the largest classic car show in the North of England and took place last weekend Sunday, July 21st with around 1500 vehicles of all shapes, sizes and era joining the spectacular classic car event.
Organised by the Bishop Auckland Branch of NECPWA, the show had a range of classic cars from just about every era and took place in the spectacular grounds of Newby Hall near Ripon in North Yorkshire.
Welcoming thousands of visitors and enthusiasts each year the weather remained kind as the well-organised showcase of vehicles streamed in from 08:00hrs onwards. An eclectic mix ranging from the early 1900s through to modern-day classics were under close scrutiny by the overwhelming turnout.
Numerous clubs and organisations were present at the Historic Vehicle Rally including strong representation from Alvis, Bentley, Ford, Jowett, Lanchester, MG, Sunbeam, Triumph, Jensen, Rolls-Royce, Wolseley and many others.
