Original Racing Posters
Presented from a life-long, fastidious collector, entirely without reserve, the group of posters highlights major venues and marques during some of motor racing’s greatest decades, spanning the spectrum from Formula 1, road racing, and rallye to art deco styling. Each authentic example is professionally archival linen-mounted and in exceptional original condition.
Leading the collection highlights is the V Carrera Panamericana, Mexico, 1954 event poster, a world-famous artwork in outstanding condition, designed to celebrate the fifth and final running of the Mexican road race, which was won by legendary Italian racing driver Umberto Maglioli in the Ferrari 375 Plus (Est. $4,000 – $6,000).
Joining the Carrera Panamericana poster is a world-renowned piece by French painter Géo Ham, A.C.F, Reims, 1938. Created for the Auto Club de France, this original poster spotlights the 1938 Grand Prix motor race held at the Reims-Gueux circuit and comes complete with a tax stamp (Est. $2,500 – $3,500).
