Renault celebrates 40 years since its first F1 victory – the first by a turbocharged engine.
Renault will demonstrate its pioneering role in the development of turbocharged cars at Retromobile 2019 by showcasing a range high speed blowers under one roof.
The transfer of technology from F1 to production cars is embodied by a selection of models exhibited by Renault Classic* at the 2019 Rétromobile show.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of its first and revolutionary Formula 1 victory at the event, the French marque will exhibit a 1979 RS 10 together with a selection of emblematic production cars.

Delivering Renault’s message on how the company, beginning in 1980, transferred the technical expertise in turbocharging acquired in motorsport to its production range.
The 600 m² stand will play host to the 11 Renault models equipped with a turbo engine.
In addition, an Estafette – a model celebrating its 60th birthday in 2019 – adorned with the colours of the 1979 Formula 1 team is serving as a store.
Rétromobile 2019 takes place at the Porte de Versailles, Paris, on 6-10 February.
