An incredible collection of 25 Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars are to be sold almost entirely without reserve in Liechtenstein during the month of June 2021…

The staggering assemblage of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars is one of the most significant pre and post-war single-owner collections ever to be offered at auction and will go under the hammer via the limited attendance ‘Passion For Elegance’ live sale in Liechtenstein, June 2021.

The well-known collection is said to represent one man’s passion for the greatest in British luxury automobile manufacturing with a breathtaking 1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Special Town Car by Brewster spearheading the luxurious lot list.

Holding the coveted title of being the most expensive automobile in the world at the time, the Rolls-Royce Phantom II Special Town Car by Brewster is the first and only one of the three special town cars built to retain its original coachwork and has an estimated value of approximately £1.5 million with features that include gold plated hardware internally, vanity cases, lambs’ wool carpets, indirect lighting, and German silver hardware externally.

The full collection offered by RM Sotheby’s features 25 cars spanning 88 years of manufacturing from the golden era of the two most famous British manufacturers of luxurious motor cars and includes:

The exquisite automotive collection has been curated over a period of 30 years and resides in a beautiful purpose-built facility that has also been the subject of a dedicated book. The auction will take place within that facility and will, subject to all relevant restrictions, be conducted as a live sale with limited attendance. “The collection is complete. In the case of Rolls-Royce, every single relevant period has at least one representative. The collection of Bentleys shows the development of the marque from the time it was acquired by Rolls-Royce in 1931 up to the present day. Similar to an art exhibition, where objects are displayed in relation to each other, the cars can be grouped in accordance with various aspects which is, without doubt, one of the strong points of this collection.”
