Classic motoring hub, Bicester Heritage, has welcomed a new tenant, Sports Purpose to its ever popular Motor Transport Yard.
Born out of friends John Brewer and James Turner’s desire to bring the very best collectors’ Porsches and contemporary automotive rivals to fellow enthusiasts, Sports Purpose has created a beautifully appointed showroom in RAF Bicester’s former Special Repair Workshop.
The building sits within the Motor Transport Yard, which acts as a central hub for the site, putting Sports Purpose right at the heart of the action. The Yard itself is Grade II listed and the best-preserved example of its type to survive in the UK.
This area proves incredibly popular during Bicester Heritage’s revered Sunday Scramble open days, and last Sunday’s event saw the showroom officially open to the visiting public for the first time.
The latest edition to Bicester will bring an authentic classic Porsche feel to the Motor Transport Yard, sourcing quality Porsches and delivering a high quality sales service to those wishing to delve into the German drive scene.
James Turner, Founder Director of Sports Purpose, said:
“We are extremely proud to take up residence at Bicester Heritage to sell and to source cars. Sports Purpose will present Porsches and contemporary rivals in the way that we would expect to be dealt with. We want our customers to have the perfect car, and we’ll strive to find it for them. Bicester Heritage is the most remarkable hub for historic motoring and the natural location for us to start our business. Located only 45 minutes from London, we intend to share our love of authentic and original cars as widely as possible. The Scramble has become a special event for all enthusiasts and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces here on Sunday enjoying our array of cars.”
