Inspired by its previous success as ‘Best of Show’ at Pebble Beach in 2018, a stunning Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B has been awarded the Coppa d’Oro at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza 2019.
The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2019 is now one of the world’s most prestigious heritage events, this year celebrating ‘The Symphony of Engines – 90 Years of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este & BMW Automobiles‘.
This classic extravaganza welcomes some of the most beautiful vehicles ever produced, celebrating two anniversaries between this weekend 24 – 26 May and includes an exclusive array of automotive classics on the shores of Lake Como for the Villa d’Este Elegance Competition.
Italian and proud, the amazing 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B was scrutinised by a public judging panel and awarded the coveted first prize at Villa d’Este.

Boasting all the available technology in the late and great thirties, the stylish Alfa is powered by a thumping straight eight cylinders surrounded by a lightweight alloy block, double overhead camshaft, independent suspension and even a rear mounted gearbox.
The stylish long wheelbase Alfa was also the first of five variants to wear the illustrious Superleggera body produced by Touring and was victorious at the world famous Pebble Beach in 2018.
