A one-off 2CV Charleston motorcycle has been created after being inspired by the legendary Citroën 2CV to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the iconic vehicle.
The unique and unmistakable 2CV Charleston motorcycle took its inspiration from the ‘two horsepower’, or ‘deux chevaux-vapeur’ as the French like to call it – Citroën 2CV Charleston classic car.
Retaining the originality of innovative French design, the exclusive two-wheeled beauty is dressed in the usual colours of maroon over black and was produced according to customer specifications.
Extreme attention was given to the accurate colour match, with even the bright-work given the ‘chevron-shaped’ logo, which 22-year-old André Citroën patented many years previously.

Created by South Garage, one of the country’s leading and renowned motorcycle trainers, details also include 2CV Charleston mudguards, with their distinctive iconic arched contours. These were carefully adapted, then painted and subsequently re-attached following a perfect match.
An original chrome-plated parcel holder, brandishing the legendary Citroen logo has been awarded pole position, luring the inquisitive into further inspection of this stunning machine.
Exhausts are given the retro ‘cone’ shaped feel to integrate with the personality of the bike.
The launch of the project took place in May, once again in July with an outing to Gonzaga, the National Two-cylinder Rally.
